Description
Unholed is a rechargeable LED ceiling light for rooms that never got one. A thin steel plate goes on your ceiling with the adhesive strip, or the included screws on textured ceilings, and the light snaps onto it with a built-in magnet. No wiring, no electrician.
Modes: motion, night-only motion, or always on, from the remote. Dimmable, with warm, neutral and daylight white.
Size: 7.5 in wide, 0.6 in thin. Sits close to the ceiling.
How many you need: one for a closet, hallway or stairway; two for a bedroom or small room up to about 100 sq ft. It adds overhead light where you have none; it won't replace the main light in a large living room.
In the box (per light): steel mounting plate, adhesive strip, screws and anchors, USB-C cable. A remote comes with every pack. The 2 Pack and 3 Pack add a free 3-in-1 USB-C cable that charges three lights at once from one phone charger; the 3 Pack adds a Move-Out Kit with spare plates and adhesive.
Moving out: unclip the lights. Warm the adhesive plate with a hair dryer for about 30 seconds and peel slowly. If you'll need to remove it without risking the paint, use the screw option instead.

How long does a charge last?
It depends on how you use it. In motion mode, a light that switches on a few times a day (a closet or stairway) can go weeks between charges; a busy hallway needs charging more often. Left on constantly at full brightness, expect a few hours, so always-on is best for short tasks. To recharge, unclip the light from its plate (a step stool is usually enough on an 8 ft ceiling), charge it overnight by USB-C, and clip it back.
Will it damage my ceiling or my deposit?
There's no drilling or wiring. To remove the adhesive plate, warm it with a hair dryer for about 30 seconds and peel slowly. If you need to avoid any risk to the paint, use the included screws, if your lease allows.
Will it stay up on a popcorn or textured ceiling?
Use the included screws and anchors. The adhesive strip is for smooth, clean, dry ceilings only; it won't hold reliably on popcorn or textured finishes.
It turns off when I'm standing still. Why?
Motion mode switches off about 20 seconds after it stops detecting movement. Switch to always-on with the remote and it stays on until you turn it off.
Does it come with a charger?
Every light comes with a USB-C cable that works with any phone charger. The 2 Pack and 3 Pack also include a free 3-in-1 cable, so you can charge three lights at once from one charger.
Will it work in a bathroom?
It isn't waterproof, so mount it on the ceiling away from direct water. In steamy bathrooms, use the screws rather than the adhesive.
